so, in preparation for the hurricane, we evacuated to orlando.
'nuff said.
boy was it wicked scary. 110 mph winds. nothing like in ft myers though.....still, i could feel the inner walls vibrating and i watched a large piece of my cousins fence fly away in the wind. thank god we didnt get hit by any tornadoes, because they were just blocks away from us. ive never seen anything like it before.
so, essentially, we unnecessarily put ourselves into the path of destruction. i even took my poor cat. still i believe it was the right decision, cause if that storm had hit tampa dead on at 145 mph, which it very well could have, we would have been PROFOUNDLY fucked. we were able to wait it out in orlando, but we would have been in great danger in our neighborhood. im convinced we wouldnt have had a house the next day :( i feel so bad for all the people that did lose their homes. there are thousands.
im exhausted. i havent slept much in the past week or so.
but i had fun tonight singing karaoke with some other former pcca kids. good times. good times.

15 more days til i leave. i just cant believe it. i have so much to do. i have so many people to see. there are people who im just gonna miss so much it kinda hurts to think about it.
today conor and i went to visit dubas and the gang and it was good times as usual :lol: man i miss all that stuff and it was so good to just sit and laugh about stupid things like we used to.
i think ill do the clothes shopping tomorrow :shock:
and im hanging out with that studly nick white on saturday  *sigh* i hope he ends up at BU.
yeah. i feel.....i dunno. today i feel like....i guess you could say......the feeling you get when a very steadfast, but preconceived, notion is shattered. its 1/3 anxiety, 1/3 heartache, and 1/3 relief. just kind of unsettled. as ive said before, this new beginning im getting to have is so key. itll be like a breath of fresh air in my life. and i can just go from there without too much hassle (hopefully).

well, not exactly. but im coasting right along.
so, get this: i sang today and it sounded [i]good[/i]. i was like, shit. my mom couldnt tell if i was singing, or if it was a recording. i am happy about this.
speaking of which, i have a studio now. i will be studying with patricia craig starting in september. she is a lyric soprano who spent 12 seasons at the met singing lead roles. she is an extremely nice lady and she came very highly recommended. i think she may be just the teacher i need.
and in other news today i calculated that this summer my bmi has gone down from a 28.2 to a 25.9. rad. its still a little high, but hey, its progress.
17 more days.
oh yeah, and im bipolar.

so im feeling pretty crappy and emo today. at least i sang some, and as far as i can tell, i still have a voice. its just strange that when i breathe my belly doesnt expand as far as it did before (cause theres like 434923947 less pounds of fat). it kind of throws me off. its just a sensation ill have to get used to.
i had a great time with erin and jen thompson last night. the globe isnt so bad. its actually a pretty chill place. ill have to go back before i leave. if anything, for the chocolate chai, which is indeed addictive. might go to the castle with erin on monday. its nice to be getting out some.

now ive got my mom giving me shit and its fucking so gay. so i stayed out all night TALKING TO MY FRIENDS AND LISTENING TO MUSIC. i wasnt out fucking drinking or doing anything wrong. i had a lot of fun just talking to some people i havent seen in a while. im 19 fucking years old.
im so pissed off right now. ill get over this parental shit like tomorrow im sure. im outta here in 3 weeks anyways. but theres this other shit. im sick of caring for people that never wanna give me anything in return. what the fuck? i fucking love you with all my heart and you know id move a mountain for you and you know i place you above everyone else and all i get in return is shit. and you know what, its my fault cause i just allow people to treat me like that. and i just go on thinking its ok. but its not. its really not ok. im tired of it. and im so glad im getting out of here and im moving on with life and hopefully ill get over this useless trash and meet new people that will value me and give me back what i give. i give way too much of myself and i bare my heart every chance i get because i just want to feel love. but it just isnt worth it sometimes.
im going to go listen to fiona apple and be angry and hate this and purge it from my system and then go back to being awesome.

oh my god, oh my god! its august already. i leave in 24 days. ive started some prepacking of things like books. i still have so much to pack though. i dont even wanna think about it. and i still have to go clothes shopping. clothes shopping doesnt excite me like it used to. id be so content to just live in my pajamas :)
ive lost 12 pounds so far and i feel so much better. i have way more energy and i just feel [i]lighter[/i]. im getting new muscles too. im going to keep this healthy stuff up and im not going to let myself get fat again like i did in the past two years. its just not worth it.
i started wearing earrings again.
im letting my hair grow out so for the next year or so please disregard its multi-coloredness.
ive done a bit of reading and i feel way better for it.
im in better shape than i was at the beginning of the summer, physically, mentally and emotionally. i needed this time at home with my family to regroup my crazy little (big) self. im ready to be a more responsible woman now. and its in due time because here i go, kids 8)
